According to the Take-Two financial report that was released today, Borderlands 2 fans will have yet another Headhunter DLC to gobble up next month. The second Headhunter pack, appropriately titled Wattle Gobbler, will be released in November — just in time for Thanksgiving!
With TK Baha’s Bloody Harvest releasing just before Halloween, and Wattle Gobbler releasing during turkey month, it is probably safe to assume that we can expect a Christmas-themed Headhunter DLC come December. Mutant shotgun-carrying elves and a crazed Santa Claus putting heads rather than presents under the trees in Pandora just screams Borderlands, does it not?
The missions that the Headhunter DLC’s focus on involve defeating a unique boss and collecting its head, along with a special skin, as your reward. With Bloody Harvest the goal was to kill the Pumpkin Kingpin and collect his head. We can only hope that a giant mutant turkey will be the target of choice with this DLC, perfectly fitting the holiday theme that Gearbox seems to be following.
Like its predecessor, Wattle Gobbler will be available for download on Xbox 360, Playstation 3, and PC next month. Gametac will be releasing more information about this new addition to the Borderlands 2 DLC family as it is discovered, so stick around!
